Day 1: Arrival in Freetown
  • Arrive in Freetown, the capital city of Sierra Leone.
  • Check in to your accommodation and rest after your journey.
Day 2 – Freetown City Tour and Tacugama
  • Start your day with an early breakfast at your accommodation in Freetown.
  • Visit the Cotton Tree, the National Museum, Big Market, the Peace and Cultural Monument and the Maroon Church.
  • Depart Freetown and head to the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The drive takes around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Arrive at Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary and start your guided tour.

Day 3 – Bunce and Tasso Island
  • Early morning departure from Freetown to the jetty where boats depart for Bunce Island.
  • Take a scenic boat ride to Bunce Island, located in the Sierra Leone River.
  • Spend the day exploring Bunce Island's historic ruins and learning about its history as a major slave trading post.
  • Explore Tasso Island's historical sites, including remnants of the slave trade era and the island's cultural heritage.
  • Return to Freetown in the evening.
Day 4 – Freetown - Makeni – Rogbonko
  • Depart Freetown after breakfast, drive to Makeni for a city tour.
  • Upon arrival in Makeni, spend some time exploring the city center and interacting with locals.
  • Continue to Rogbonko Village treat, visit the chief and pay homage.
  • Participate in any available community activities or cultural exchanges. 
  • In the evening you will later return to Makeni city for an overnight  
Day 5 – Depart Makeni - Banana Island
  • Drive to Makeni for Banana Island via Kent beach
  • Arrive at Banana Island and check in to your chosen accommodation.
  • Spend time relaxing on the beach, swimming, or engaging in water activities.
  • Engage with the local community and learn about the island's culture and traditions.
  • Visit nearby villages or interact with local fishermen to gain insights into their way of life.
  • Take advantage of more beach time, lounging on the sand or swimming in the warm waters.
  • Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner and take in the serene sunset.
Day 6 – Kent – Freetown (Departure)
  • After breakfast, bid farewell to Banana Island.
  • Take the boat ride back to Freetown.
  • Depending on your flight schedule, you might have some free time in Freetown for last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
  • Depart from Freetown
